How we pick guidance

  • Prioritize aisle decisions Americans actually get stuck on (soy wall, cooking wine, oyster sauce).
  • Prefer small bottles and “common on the shelf” language over fake “best in America” rankings.
  • Name Chinese characters when they help you match a label (生抽, 老抽, 料酒).
  • Add shelf-match photos with English “look for” captions so shoppers who can’t read Chinese can still match bottle shape, color, and bag look. Credits: ATTRIBUTION.md.
  • Call out vegetarian / allergen traps without pretending we certify products.
  • No invented prices. Brands are examples; your store may differ.

Update policy

Every guide shows a Last updated date. When labels or common shelf mixes shift, we revise the page — we don’t silently leave “eternal best-of” lists.

Independence

ChineseAisle is independent. Mentions of 99 Ranch, H Mart, Pearl River Bridge, Lee Kum Kee, and others are for orientation only — no affiliation or sponsorship implied on these pages.

Ads (later)

If ads appear later, they will use real publisher IDs only after policy review. This MVP ships with no AdSense snippets.
